Shamrocks Rock

Once again I ran the Shamrockn' half marathon this year.  This race was an especially big challenge for me because I felt a bit under prepared.   I had only been running 1 or sometimes 2 times per week in the months prior.  Luckily I ran it with my friend Amy so we were able to keep each other motivated for the entire 13.1 miles.   This race began in downtown Sacramento.  It travels past great landmarks like the State Capital, The Tower Bridge, historic Old Sacramento, and ends at Railey Baseball Field.

I was lucky enough to work in Carson's classroom on the Friday morning before St. Patrick's weekend.  We had fun turning the kids into Irishmen by creating their Irish name....Carson O'Davis.  We also created many  pots of gold, rainbows and leprechaun artwork.

Tate was busy preparing for St. Patrick's day in his classroom by working on this leprechaun story.  A bit of translation may be needed! :)
"One day I found a pot of gold.  Then I met the leprechaun.  Then I grabbed the gold.  I ran to the store and bought a gold bracelet then says Tate.  Next I went home.  Then I watched TV.  The leprechaun said, "where is my pot of gold?"  The end."
